New Styles For Your Music Video This April

Shot your footage, built your music video, but feel like something's missing? You need to add a Rotor style and editing effect to give it that extra edge.

Luckily for you, we’ve just dropped four new styles for you to choose from.

Church

Our latest style, Church, adds a divine twist to your music videos. Adding a pink-hued effect, this style brings clips to life through diagonal cuts and animated cross overlays. Church can be used with any type of genre and adds the variety necessary to keep your fanbase watching until the very end. This style adds both a minimalistic and modern feel to your selected clips through a series of stylish graphically-inspired frames. We think it looks great with text overlays, so try it out with your next lyric video. Use Church style for a music video that we know your fans will find heavenly.

FX Pusher

FX Pusher brings a powerful, dynamic energy to your music video. Our style is bass reactive, which means the thumping bass of your track triggers a glitch effect to your video clips. It also judges the speed of the audio to determine the playback speed of each clip. FX Pusher works well with upbeat, fast-paced tracks and we especially love it with electronic music.

Mooncat

Mooncat is inspired by typographic posters and motion graphics. It reduces your clips to 75% of their normal size, and then layers on a dark, animated background so your clips stand out even more. When you use Mooncat, it cuts to a new clip every 8 beats and changes the overlays every 4 beats with a fade in-and-out to blend everything together. The pace of the edit and its mesmerising effects make it ideal for electronic, dance, hip hop and grime music.

No footage? No problem!

With everything going in the world right now, we know this isn’t the time to shoot your own footage for your music video. We have your back on this one. At Rotor, there are thousands of beautifully-filmed clips with footage we’ve commissioned exclusively for our Rotor users. Although finding stock video is easy when you’re an independent artist, finding high-quality stock footage isn’t. At Rotor, we aim to make it as easy as possible for you to find the right visuals to showcase your song.
